The marketing and sale of merchandise for the Cat Country brand was also a big part of my internship experience. I was able to apply both my experience from working in sales and my skills from the marketing courses I have taken at the University of Rhode Island and abroad at Kedge International Business School.

For the Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett concert we used a unique social media marketing strategy in a contest we held at the concert. We had cut out heads of the artists which fans could pose with and take pictures. We then asked the fans to post the photos on their social media sites (i.e. Facebook and Instagram) and tag @ Cat Country in order to be entered in our contest and potentially win a prize. This experience really allowed me to put my social media marketing and creative skills to use.

The Lee Brice Concert was also free to our loyal fans/listeners. This was our yearly fan appreciation concert and took weeks of planning and preparation to put on. We had a lot of responsibilities at this concert since it was entirely our own, including setting up and cleaning the entire venue after! This event taught me a lot about the behind the scenes world of event planning.
